Tips for relocating

  1. Ask for assistance

  • No better way to get help relocating than to ask for advice and help from an agent who knows the area well, or a business partner who can give you guidance.

    2. Build a relocation budget

  • Many costs come into play when relocating like the cost of visiting your new city, lease termination costs, moving expenses, taxes, cost of new furnishings, and much more.

    3. Get to know the area you are relocating

  • When moving somewhere new you will want to know what you are getting yourself into before just showing up, and the best way to do that is to visit the area for a few days.

    4. Start a packing timeline

  • Start by writing down a plan, this way it will help you stay organized and spend less money.

    5. Keep a “Hold All” box

  • Have one big box or plastic tub where you will keep all your must-have items such as packing tape, paper, markers, scissors, important documents, medicines, toiletries, or any other important things you may need.

    6. Clean as you go

  • As soon as you pack up an area, give it a good clean directly after the space has been cleared.
