One of the region’s most lucrative sales last week was a West Cambridge Dutch Colonial with five fireplaces.

Sold by the Kendall Green Luce Team of Compass, 11 Channing St. sits about a mile from Harvard Square. Measuring 5,945 square feet on 0.24 of an acre, the home includes five bedrooms, six full bathrooms, and one half bathroom. According to the Multiple Listing Service, it sold for $5,500,000 on Friday, Feb. 28.

Pocket doors on both sides of the foyer lead either to the dining room or a living room with a bay window. There are fireplaces in both rooms, as well as in the family room, which also has a bay window. Across the way, the kitchen sports an island, a butler’s pantry with a wine cooler, and a breakfast nook. Both the nook and the adjoining sunroom overlook the backyard.

The second level offers a master suite with a fireplace, a balcony, and two walk-in closets. You’ll need to walk through the latter to access the two en-suite bathrooms, one of which sports a large half-circle mirror and access to a deck. A full bath, laundry room, and two more bedrooms (one with access to the same deck, the other with a corner fireplace and built-in bookshelves) round out this floor.

A good chunk of the top floor is dedicated to a great room with a vaulted ceiling and track lighting. There are two more bedrooms on this level; one has shutters.

The finished lower level offers media and recreation rooms.

Outside, the property has a patio, towering trees, and a detached one-car garage.
