Do I really need an inspection…it’s brand new?

I recommend inspections to everyone. Inspectors will lay out everything, big and little, that could potentially be a problem whether 20 years from now or 20 days. Whether its brand new or from 1911 the quality could be close to the same… If it’s brand new you’ll want to make sure that the job is done and done correctly. What if pipes are inadequate or outlets aren’t working. In a competitive market, you will see buyers waiving their inspection contingencies in order to make their offer stronger and if that is something you want to do depending on your market… you could do a pre-offer inspection. Which means you have your inspection and know of all the issues prior to making an offer. This shows sellers you are serious and you aren’t walking into home ownership blind of any issues.
